Emily Simpson

Emily is thrilled to be choreographing another show with Bay Area eTc! She has directed and choreographed Shrek, The Little Mermaid, Disney’s Descendants, and Newsies!, and choreographed Elf the Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, and The Wizard of Oz for the company. Alongside Ms. Ria, she is the co-founder and co-program director of Bay Area eTc’s Young Adult Conservatory and is looking forward to all of the new adventures in store with the program.

Other production staff credits include choreographing Bright Star at Coastal Rep, and My Fair Lady and Gypsy (assistant choreographer), both at Pacifica Spindrift Players. Her favorite roles on stage include “Brooke Ashton” (Noises Off!), “Little Red-Headed Girl/Dance Captain” (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), “Essie” (You Can’t Take It With You), “Donna/Dance Captain” (The Brain from Planet X), and “Chorus Girl” (42nd Street).
