Seussical the
Musical is a musical based on the books of
Dr. Seuss. The play's story is an amalgamation of many of
Seuss's most famous books loved by everyone. The
overarching plot of the show mirrors that of Horton Hears
a Who, centering on Horton the Elephant’s endeavors to
protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck
of dust. It also features characters and scenarios from
many other Seuss books. The Cat in the Hat, an outside
observer, acts as narrator and devil's advocate
throughout the show, briefly leaping into the action on
several occasions to create conflict and keep the story
moving.

Load In & Final Set Construction
This Saturday is Load-In day. The day when
we move all the wonderful set pieces to the theater at
Cañada. It is an all-day event, so it brings us a
different schedule. We have use of the theater space from
9-5, so we work around that.
8:15 am - meet at eTc warehouse to load the truck
8:45 am - depart for Cañada (time approximate)
9 am - 6 pm - unload truck, assemble pieces, hang flying
set pieces, attach skirts to decks and various other
tasks.
You may come for all of the day, or join us for a portion
of it - as your schedule allows. Most actors will have a
full rehearsal day (typically 11-3). We will be using
screw guns and staple guns - bring them if you have them!
