Committee Meetings This Weekend
Costume Committee
The costume committee will meet at the warehouse on Saturday & Sunday. Be on the lookout for an informational email from Theresa regarding the time.
Set Construction – Saturday, 11am-3pm & Sunday, 1-5pm
The set construction crew will be at the warehouse building the sets this weekend (as they will be every weekend). The sets are looking amazing already and there are lots of things to do. If you like working with power tools or painting or building things, this is the place for you! Show up and check in with Adam or Scott and have a blast!
Publicity Committee
The Publicity Committee will meet briefly with Denise and Melissa at the warehouse at 1pm on Sunday, March 16 during Nitty Gritty Day. Following the brief meeting, the committee will begin distributing posters throughout the surrounding communities to advertise the show. If you are interested in helping to distribute those flyers, see Denise at the warehouse during Nitty Gritty.
Nitty Gritty Day – March 16
ALL HANDS ON DECK! Nitty Gritty Day is on Sunday, March 16 at the warehouse from 1-5pm. This is the day for all parents to come together and work on getting Peter Pan costumes, sets and publicity ready for the stage. So drop your child off at rehearsal and head over to the warehouse at 530 Marine View, in Belmont. Click here to get to google maps. http://www.bayareae tc.org/direction s/office. html
Off Book
All cast must be “off book” by Saturday March 29. “Off book” means actors will not be using their script at rehearsal. They should know their lines and not need to refer to the script. If they momentarily forget a line, Amy the Stage Manager will be there to help out. But the goal is to be off book by March 29.
House Duties & Chaperone Committee
Beginning this weekend and continuing until we move to the theater, a sign up sheet will be posted each week for the House Duties and Chaperone committee members to sign up for shifts. If you are only working on these committees 6 shifts will get you your 20-hour volunteer requirement. If you work on other committees, please feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you would like.
Cast One-Liners
Show your actor how proud you are. Give him or her a “shout out” in the show program. The order form will be in the cast folders this weekend. Deadline to turn them in to the “One Liner” folder is April 5. Each cast member receives one free one-liner. Additional one-liners are $5 per 35 characters. The cost helps offset the printing of the program.
Fly Daddy’s & Mommy’s
We are still looking for Fly Daddy’s and Mommy’s. If you looking for a way to fulfill your volunteer hours that would really get you involved in the show, this is the job for you! There are a few qualifications. You must be physically able to handle the weight of the actors and you must be available to attend the fly training on April 22, 24 & 25 from 6-9pm and April 23 from 2-6pm. Please talk to Danielle as soon as possible if you are interested.
Week Night Construction
Some of the families have expressed an interest in working on set construction during the week in the evenings from approximately 6-9pm. Scott and Adam would like to take a quick survey as to what evening would work the best for the largest number of families. If you are interested in working on sets during the week, please respond to Danielle at neverlandnews08@yahoo.com with the night of the week that would work for you.
Volunteer Hours
The volunteer hour tracking sheet is due this weekend. Please take a quick moment to fill it out and place it in the “Volunteer Hours” folder. Remember, if you have not begun your hours but you plan to fulfill the hours during the show, fill out the form with “0” hours and make a note of how you plan to complete them.
