Nitty Gritty Day 2
Things we'll be working on this Saturday - Painting (with a capital p - Lost Boy Cave, Nursery Walls, Trees), still some construction (Slide for Lost Boys, Wendy's House, Nursery Doors, Pirate Ship/Stair railing), rigging flats for flying, disassemble the larger sets (Platforms) for transport, some "little" projects that need to get done and the building of 2 more trees. There is still a lot to get done and very little time. We need everyone to show up and lend a hand. The sets are looking amazing and if we can get more hands to help out, we can finish them and make this a great show for our actors! In case you have not been able to make it to the warehouse yet, here is a map. http://www.mapquest .com/maps/ 530+Marine+ View+St+Belmont+ CA+94002- 2552/
Set Construction – Saturday, 11am-3pm & Sunday, 1-5pm
There is still lots to do and only 3 weeks left! The set construction crew will be at the warehouse building the sets this weekend. The sets are looking amazing already and there are lots of things to do. If you like working with power tools or painting or building things, this is the place for you! Show up and check in with Adam or Scott and have a blast!
**Sell Sell Sell**
Don’t forget to sell those tickets! Peter Pan is a very family friendly show and fun for kids of all ages. Make sure you tell everyone you know, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins, neighbors, classmates, teachers, grocery store clerks, mailpersons, coaches…and tell them to tell a friend! We want to fill those seats for the actors. The actors get their energy from knowing that they have support in the audience and they adore hearing the laughter from their fans in the audience. So help Peter Pan be as successful as possible and fill that auditorium! Visit http://www.bayareaetc.org/forms/TicketOrderForm.pdf to download a hard copy of the ticket order form. For those who want to order online, (and it is so easy and quick!) visit the website PayPal option at http://www.bayareaetc.org/tickets.html
Teasers
To add to the publicity of the show, we will be handing out balloons to children (and adults if they so wish) at the teasers. We will need to inflate about 250 total balloons. Danielle will have the balloons and helium tank in the back of the family vehicle and we are looking for volunteers to help inflate the balloons in the parking lots at both locations. Please tell Danielle if you are interested in helping out. (This can also count towards your volunteer hours!)
Raffle Prizes
We have received some pretty good raffle prizes from stores and destinations in the area; however, we still don’t have the one or two “big ticket” raffle prizes that provide a draw for the ticket sales. If you or a member of your family has a connection to the donation of a great raffle prize (i.e. IPod, TV, camera or something of the like), please contact Danielle.
Missing Rehearsals – Know your role by April 12
Remember, if you miss a rehearsal, you must learn the material you missed from your counter part or someone else in the show. It is not the responsibility of the artistic staff to fill you in on what you missed. It is your responsibility to learn what you missed. At the run through this weekend, the staff will evaluate the actors. If they do not know the blocking, songs or dances, staff may choose to pull the actor from the number. Please be sure your actor is off book and knows their part!
Voucher & Proud Parent Deadline
Don’t forget – this weekend is the deadline to purchase Voucher packs and Proud Parent Passes! All paperwork and payments must be received by April 12. After April 12, individual show tickets will be available through the website as well as through the ticket order forms only. You can also order Proud Parent Passes and vouchers through the website PayPal option at http://www.bayareaetc.org/tickets.html
One-Liners
We are still missing some one-liners. If you have not turned one in yet, you can email it to neverlandnews08@yahoo.com or turn it in at rehearsal this Saturday.
Actor Bios
Bios are due on Sunday, April 20. Bios should be emailed to neverlandnews08@yahoo.com. In the lobby of our theater, “head shot” photos of each actor will be displayed. Please type up and email a short paragraph to go along with your picture. Tell about your past theater experience, school interests, or anything else you would like to tell members of the audience about yourself. “Third person” style is the standard form (use “he or she”, NOT “I or me”). Please do not include school names. Please keep length reasonable as the headshot also needs to fit on the page. If the bio is too long it will be edited or text size will be reduced. There will not be a bio form sent out but there will be one on the web site. Please no hard copy bios - only bios via email.
Head Shots
If your actor did not take a head shot at rehearsal, please turn in a black and white 4 x 6 photo for the lobby bios. Photos should be turned into “headshot” folder at rehearsal by April 20.
