List of Characters

(The play takes place in London, England during the 1940’s)

WHITE STAG – any age, M or F. The good spirit of Narnia. Major dance role.

PETER (13 yrs. old) Oldest of four siblings. Bright, smart, and honest.

SUSAN (12 yrs. old) Peter’s sister. Very smart, and loving.

LUCY (9 yrs. old) Peter’s sister. Very sweet and innocent.

EDMUND (10 yrs. old) Peter’s younger brother. He meets the Queen, and she convinces him he could someday be King of Narnia but he will have to betray his family. He realizes his mistake and makes it right again.

PROFESSOR – 40-60’s yrs. old. The children’s wealthy, eccentric uncle.

ASLAN – 40’s – 50’s male. A lion, and LORD of the Woods. Powerful, and knowing. Kindhearted and wise.

MRS. MACELADY – 50’s and the Professor’s housekeeper. Very strick and very stern. “In charge” kind of attitude, and takes her position seriously.

WHITE WITCH – 40’s-50’s. Soprano. Must sing exceptionally. She claims the throne of Narnia for her own, and has the power to change this land to winter as long as she wishes. She will stop at nothing to continue to rule the land.

TUMNUS (faun) – any age, male. Half man/half creature. Must sing well. Kindhearted and cannot be evil even though he works for the Queen.

DWARF – any age. One of the Queen’s favorites.

MRS. BEAVER – 30’s – 40’s. Must sing well. The unloved wife of Mr. Beaver.

MR. BEAVER – 30’s-40’s. Must sing well. Argues with Mrs. Beaver all the time and feels she is never satisfied. Underneath he loves her very much.

FENRIS ULF (wolf) – any age, male. Chief of Police for the Queen. Likes having power and being in charge.

RYWETH (wolf #2) any age, male. Asst. to the Chief of Police.

FATHER CHRISTMAS – 50’s, male. Must sing well. Kind and the true spirit of Christmas.
