Wonderland Weekly 9/9

Sorry for the delayed email. If you don't know I live and work in San Bruno so I have been onsite at the shelter all night. The Brewers and our house are all okay though. Thanks for your understanding in the delay of getting this weeks schedule.

Rehearsal Expectations

Every actor should have a script. If you actor missed rehearsal last weekend, they should ask Danielle or Dwayne for a script. Music will be passed out in the weeks to come. The script and music should be in a
three ring binder. Actors should bring their script to every rehearsal along with a pencil and a bottle of water and a snack. No food is allowed in the classrooms so the snack should be wrapped and they can eat it during their break.

There is
NO GUM allowed at rehearsal.

In order for rehearsals to run smoothly and the actors to get the most out of rehearsal, anyone who has long hair must pull it back in a ponytail or clips and away from their face.

It is also important that actors wear closed toed shoes that are comfortable to dance in.
This means no sandals, flip-flops or crocs! They should also wear clothing that is easy to move in. And remember girls, no bra straps or belly buttons showing. If proper attire is not worn, actors will not be allowed to rehearse. Actors should NEVER have bare feet.

Electronics & Cell Phones
We recommend that actors don’t bring electronics to rehearsal. It is a great place to lose them. If your actor brings electronics to rehearsal and the electronics distract the actor to the point where they don’t pay attention to the rehearsal, they will be taken away and returned at the completion of rehearsal.

We understand the importance of keeping in touch with your actor. Cell phones are allowed at rehearsal, but must remain in a bag or pocket. As with the electronics, if they become a distraction, they will be taken away and returned at the end of the day.

Roles Still To Be Determined
Auditions are over and the Cast List has been posted
EXCEPT for these TBD roles!!!! If you want one of these parts, prove it in rehearsal with your positive enthusiasm, team spirit and respect for your fellow thespian. The Artistic and Production Staff will be keeping their eyes and ears ready to catch a shooting star!

shoes, bring your tools or painting gear if you have them, and come join the fun! It's such rewarding work to create things for the production and then more fun to see them onstage! We don’t have many screw guns so please bring yours if you have one!

Nitty Gritty Day – September 19, 2010
Sunday, September 19 from 1pm-5pm is
Nitty Gritty Day. This is the day for all families to come to the warehouse and work on projects for the show. There will be set construction, painting, costuming, publicity, props and more! The hours spent at Nitty Gritty Day count towards your 25 hours of required volunteer hours. Be sure to sign in to get credit!

Some things to remember: wear appropriate shoes for working in the warehouse. Please wear closed-toe, no heels, sandals, flip-flops, even in the costume/prop area!! We need brushes, and need folks to bring tools, especially cordless drills with screw bits. Wear clothes that can get dirty or painted. We will also be making costumes, finding props for the show, bundling flyers for school backpacks and more.

Order Forms
All order forms are due on
October 2. Please be sure to turn them into the "Returned Forms" box in the "Order Forms" folder. You can give them to Dwayne or Danielle as well, but please don’t give them to the director, choreographer or vocal director as they have too many things to worry about and I don’t want to bother them with the forms.
