Any absence between these dates will be subject to staff review in the best interest of the production. There are no small roles!

Set Construction Crew at the Warehouse this Weekend
Saturday, October 9 – 11am-3pm
Sunday, October 10 – 1pm-6pm

EVERYONE IS NEEDED – THERE IS STILL MUCH TO DO!

All set construction committee members are expected to participate for the remaining three weekends. We are happy to have anyone else join us!

The Set Construction Committee works every Saturday and Sunday at the e.T.c. warehouse - 850 East San Carlos Ave, San Carlos, CA 94070 .

Make a difference in your child’s show! Actors always enjoy bragging that "my mom painted that" or "my dad built that" or "my brother and I helped make that". eTc is all about the ‘family experience’ – come be a part of the fun without having to be onstage! No experience necessary – just safe shoes (flat with closed-toes) and comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Everyone is welcome, even if you are not on the committee, and you'll get credit toward those volunteer hours!

So bring your power tools, paint brushes, gloves, etc!!!! Oh, and please remember to sign in and out to get credit for your volunteer hours!!

Directions to the Warehouse
The warehouse is located at 850 E. San Carlos Avenue, Suite D.
From College Park:
101 South
Exit at Holly Street West
Make left at light which is Industrial
Make a left onto E. San Carlos Ave. the warehouse is towards the back to the right. The large roll up door will be open.

Nitty Gritty Day – October 17, 2010
All Hands On Deck!!!
There is a lot of work to be done. Following are the general assignments that will be happening that day. Regardless of what committee you are on, you should come to the warehouse at 1pm (or as soon as you drop off your actor).

Publicity – Helping distribute posters around the community from Menlo Park to San Bruno as well as bundling the flyers for school distribution.

Props – Helping gather props for the show

Costumes – Helping with the various costume projects.
Bring your sewing machine if you have one!

Set Construction – Parents who can help with building the sets, detail painting and rigging the sets for hanging.

Chaperone Committee Sign Ups
Time to sign up for chaperone duty! A poster with available slots will be up at College Park. Signing up for at least one of the tech rehearsals in addition to the performance slots is suggested to get an idea of the flow of the show and which groups are needed during which scenes.

House Duties Committee Sign Ups
A sign up sheet will be available this weekend at rehearsal to sign up for House Duties. We need help at all shows with Concession Sales, Ushering, Flowers and Raffle Sales. Please sign up for as many shifts as you can!

Stage/Tech Crew Committee Sign Ups
Back stage is definitely the place to be! We need volunteers to work stage crew. This includes crew to move sets, mic mommies and spotlight operators. There will be a sign up sheet at rehearsal this weekend. Please sign up and specify if you would like to be a mic mommy or spotlight person. Crew is loads of fun and a great way to put in your hours!!!

Ads
Don’t forget ask business owners you may know to put an ad in the program. Approximately 2000 people see the program during the run of the show. You can bring a business card or email the ad by Oct. 24. The ad must either be ready to scan or ready to download. You can email an electronic copy of the ad to
bayareaetc@yahoo.com

Bios
It is time to have the actors write their bios. Bios should be one paragraph and written in
third person. Here are some questions your actor can answer to help them get started on writing their bio: 1. What other plays have you been in? 2. What are some of your favorite past roles? 3. What do you like best about being in this production? 4. What is your favorite thing about acting? 5. In addition to acting, what other activities do you do? 6. Who has influenced you most in your acting and why? 5. Is there anything else that you would like others to know about you? Please send the bios to the bio email address alicebios@yahoo.com no later than October 23. Please do not include actor’s school.

Flyers for San Mateo/Foster City Schools
Please let us know if you are a parent of a San Mateo/Foster City student. We need help distributing the flyers to the schools independently either as hard copies or via an email loop.
